Palm Beach Rebel was founded by Tyger Kahn, who built the brand following her recovery from double cancer and paralysis. After being told she would never walk again, Tyger returned to the island of her youth to find healing through the ocean air. She emerged from this recovery like a phoenix, embodying the resilience the brand represents today.

As one of Palm Beach’s first Jewish debutantes, Tyger grew up on South Ocean Boulevard surrounded by fine art and antiquities. Her rebellious spirit was evident early on when she traded her first diamond for a motorcycle at a local pawn shop, reasoning she would get much better use from the latter.

Following her recovery, she recognized a need for elegant, flattering swimwear designed specifically for women with curves. She created a signature suit designed to move with the body—versatile enough to be paired with a sarong for a meeting before diving into the sea, inspired by the rare gems and exquisite patterns of her family’s estate jewelry business on Peruvian Avenue, which is considered the premier destination in the United States for estate jewelry. Tyger’s line invites the wearer into an era of classic elegance and sophisticated style.
